If debtors have broken payment arrangements, or have ignored requests for payment, continued efforts may not be worth your additional time and expense. When your billing department loses effective contact with the debtor, a third party professional collection service provides a strong psychological advantage, which commands the attention of the debtor. At CSI, we combine over 20 years of experience, to effectively collect on your bad debt and delinquent your accounts.

When CSI receives your accounts, the data is input into our database, and an acknowledgement is mailed, advising you that the accounts have been received and the collection process has begun. A dunning letter is immediately sent to the debtor advising them the account has been placed with our collection agency.

During our collection processes, we will make every effort to recover the payment-in-full. Although at times we will also agree to a short-term payment plan, if we believe this is the only method for us to recover the full balance owed.

Should our collection efforts be exhausted, we may recommend that you take legal action against the debtor. In the event that this occurs, we would coordinate the process with several experienced collection attorneys, that also work on “contingency” fee basis. In the event that you select to take legal action, we will review with you the entire process, and all costs that may be incurred. No legal action will be taken without your prior authorization. Should our collection efforts be exhausted and legal action not be taken, consumer accounts will remain on the debtor’s personal credit record for seven (7) years. Commercial accounts are reported to the appropriate agency, if personal liability cannot be obtained.
